So, you’ve stumbled upon our Neon UV Face Painting and thought, “Wow, this looks incredible! I want this at my event.” And we totally get it—the glowing effect is mesmerizing! But before you dive in, let me, a face painting expert, walk you through a few essential things to ensure you get the full experience.

  1. It DOES NOT Glow in the Dark

One of the biggest misconceptions is that Neon UV Face Painting is “glow-in-the-dark” body art. But here’s the truth—it won’t glow at all in complete darkness!

This special face paint contains fluorescent pigments that react to UV (black) light, creating a glowing effect. Without UV light, the paint looks like regular neon colors. So, if you're expecting a glow-in-the-dark effect without proper lighting, you might end up disappointed.

  1. UV Light Rental in Singapore

To give your guests the full experience, proper UV lighting is a must. Our artist will set up a small UV light stand at the booth, but that’s only enough for guests standing nearby. For the entire venue to glow, additional UV light sources are required.

Where can you rent UV lights in Singapore?

We recommend third-party vendors like Blacklight SG for rentals.

If you’re hosting a small gathering, renting UV lights might not be cost-effective. This experience is best suited for larger corporate events where creating an immersive atmosphere is a priority.

  1. You Need a Dark Environment.

Even with UV lights, the effect won’t be as striking in a brightly lit space. The darker the environment, the more vibrant the glow will be.

  • For outdoor events: We recommend starting from 7 PM onwards, when natural daylight fades. If possible, dim any surrounding lights.

  • For indoor events: Any time works! Just ensure you can control the lighting by drawing curtains or lowering artificial lights.

  1. How Many UV Lights Do You Need?

The number of UV lights depends on your event size. As a general rule, placing a UV light stand every few meters ensures guests can enjoy the glowing effect no matter where they go. For a tailored setup, you can reach out to Blacklight SG for recommendations.

Final Thoughts

To get the full Neon UV Face Painting experience, remember:

✅ The paint does not glow in total darkness—it requires UV (black) light.

✅ You’ll need multiple UV light sources throughout the venue.

✅ A dim or dark environment enhances the glowing effect.
